Tunyi is a small village, located on the slopes of Yesui peak. The Tunyi micro-lot is mainly produced by one farmer,
Richard Wodulo. Richard has several farms of some 6-7 acres
in total and can produce up to 7 tons of parchment in a good season. His farms are located in the same district, but across another valley at a lower altitude between 1700 and 1850 m.a.s.l. Like other farmers who have enough space and water available, he produces his own parchment, part of which he sells to cover the school fees for his children.
Normally selling his parchment to a big international buyer or some middlemen, the relationship with Bariguna allows him to obtain a better price in return for investing extra efforts in selecting and processing his cherries and
improving the quality of his coffee.
