United Organic Coffee Growers Limited (U.O.C.G) is
a Fairtrade certified under FLO ID: 25094 and Organic
certified coffee producer organization. It is located in
Buyobo Sub-county, Sironko District, at the foot of Mt
Elgon in Eastern Uganda with the altitude range of
2500 – 3500m above the sea level. The area is 5
hours’ drive from Kampala and 30 minutes from Mbale
town. Our organization is dedicated to producing
certified high-quality organic coffee to improve the
socio-economic welfare of our community.

Coffees from Uganda

Coffee is Uganda’s top-earning export crop. In 1989 Uganda’s coffee production capacity exceeded its quota of 2.3 million bags, but export volumes were still diminished by economic and security problems, and large amounts of coffee beans were still being smuggled out of Uganda for sale in neighbouring countries.
