Uganda is the second largest producer and largest exporter of coffee in Africa. It produces 75% Robusta and 25% Arabica.

This arabica is grown around Bugisu and Kapchorwa on the slopes of Mount Elgon at an altitude of aprox. 1900-2100 m.a.s.l.

Bariguna Coffee Ltd., established in 2020, works currently in partnership with two producers, creating access to buyers who are committed to dependable and fair relationships.

Bariguna supports producers in improving their farm management and processing methods to obtain higher and fairer prices than are currently the case.

This coffee is hand-picked and then sorted by hand during and after drying.

Many are organically grown, since most farmers don’t have the financial means to purchase chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
