The gisheke Washing Station is located on an altitude of 1650 – 1850 m.a.s.l. in Nymasheke, in the western providence of Rwanda.
After being aquired in 2017, the washing station was undergoing major renovations and improvements to handle more volumen.

Today round about 630 smallholder farmers are working together with the washing station, under the Managing director Josue Dusengiyumva.
The annual production is aprox. 350-400 tons of cherries.

Coffees from Rwanda

Often compared to Kenyan coffee, Rwandan coffee at its best is creamy-bodied, with sweet citrus acidity reminiscent of Kenya. The best offer caramel and floral notes on the finish, adding a pleasing layer of complexity.
