Jinotega is located in the north of Managua and it is the so called coffee capital in Nicaragua.
More than 250.000 people living in Jinotega. For more than 100 years the Rizzo Family is
producing specialty coffee. Rehm & Co. established a very long term and reliable relationship to
Eduardo Rizzo, the owner of Finca San Ramon.
Originally from Brazil, but now grown across Latin America, Maragogype is a variety from the
Arabica family known as Elephant bean due to its big size in comparison with the rest. This
plant is particularly tall however its annual yield its lower in comparison with other types of
coffee plants.
