Nicaragua is a coffee origin like no other. The largest, but most sparsely populated country in Central America produces coffees known for its good quality and complex flavor.
Exceptional climate conditions for coffee production (fertile, mineral-rich volcanic soil, high elevations and shade, provided by the native trees) makes coffee from Nicaragua unique
among Central American coffees. Nicaragua grows most of its coffee in the shade.
Shade-grown coffee is better for the taste and the environment around the plants. The beans mature slower, allowing the natural sugars to develop and enhance flavor. It also requires
fewer chemical fertilizers. The majority of our coffees are harvested from the Jinotega region, which happens to be the largest growing region in Nicaragua.
In the North Central Region, you will find exceptionally fine and elegant coffee, known for its well-balanced flavor profile and bright acidity.
