Kodagu (Coorg) district is located in Karnataka State, South India. The region is well know for it’s divers flora and fauna, with a rich biodiversity and ideal climatic conditions, coffee has been grown in Coorg for over 100 years. Kodagu’s economic activities rely for an important part on agriculture. The focus is on coffee, other crops like fruit, spices, or rice but also timber.
A maior part of the land in Kodagu is therefore used for coffee plantations. From smallsize
farms up to larger estate, various plantations can be found in Kodagu. Grove Estate is a coffee
plantation based in Coorg, also called “The Scotland of India”.

Anamalais (Tamil Nadu): Wildlife sanctuaries in this region are the abode of spotted leopards, while the plantations are home to fine, high-grown Arabicas, including the exotic Kents.
Araku valley (Andhra Pradesh): Home to colourful parrots, it is not unusual to see a flock of chattering red and green birds, darting through trees in this scenic valley.
Bababudangiris (Karnataka): Bababudan brought seven ‘magical’ beans from Yemen and planted them in the lofty hills of this region. Deer is often spotted here, grazing alongside plantations abundant with full-bodied Arabicas.
