at a height of over 1800m, a special coffee grows under the shade of the mountain trees. Just like all Ethiopian coffees, the Sidamo coffee is a regional variety and trademarked by the country itself. It is named after the most southern province of Ehiopia.
The “Coffea Arabica” plant originated in Ethiopia. According to the legend, a 19th century goatherder noticed the energizing effect the plant had on his flock and talked about his “singing goats”.
Sidamo coffee has a small green/greyish bean, more elongated than the american Arabica coffees. It has a deep citrus and floral bergamott taste. It is known for a very high quality coffee.
