Hamesho Kebena is a natural processed coffee from the Sidama region in Ethiopia, cultivated by smallholder farmers in the village of Kebena at an altitude of aprox. 2238-2300 m.a.s.l. Grown near the Logeta River and processed at the Adnan Washing Station, this coffee features the Ethiopian varieties 74148 and 74158. The cherries undergo a meticulous natural soaking process, where floaters are removed before a four-hour immersion in water. They are then slow-dried for 30 days on raised beds, ensuring a slow and controlled drying process that enhances sweetness and complexity while preserving the beans’ integrity. This careful processing results in a flavor profile that is well-balanced, with fruity aromas, a smooth and creamy body, and notes of lime, stone fruit, and strawberry, complemented by a bright yet balanced acidity and a touch of lavender in the aftertaste. The Hamesho Kebena coffee offers an authentic taste of Ethiopian terroir, making it a must-try for coffee lovers seeking depth and character in every cup.
