Established in 1966 by 56 coffee producers, Cooperativa Cuzcachapa de R.L. operates on the principles of voluntary membership, equal rights, and shared obligations.

Its goal is to achieve social and economic betterment for both its members and all coffee producers.

From its beginnings processing 500 to 1,000 quintals of coffee, the cooperative has grown significantly. Over the past five harvests, it has averaged receiving a much larger
amount: 80,000 quintals of coffee.

Beyond coffee processing, Cooperativa Cuzcachapa provides additional support to its members. Through Avío credit, they offer financing for the production process at lower
interest rates than the local market.

This consistent growth has positioned Cooperativa Cuzcachapa as the third largest coffee processing company in the country and the top one within the cooperative sector.
