The south of Minas has a mild temperatures (between 18 and 20 degrees) and high altitude (up to 1400 meters) and is one of the main producers of coffee specialties in Brazil. Paulo Lourenco startet working with the coffee production in 2000, right after he finished a course he was doing of agriculture and cattle raising. at the beginning, he planted 1000 coffee seedlings, to plan carefully how he would keep going. Nowadays there are over 15.000 coffee trees and they present good strenght and productivity. Working with coffee inspires him a lot. His sucess motivates him to improve and produce more specialty coffee every year

Minas Gerais: the state with the largest coffee production, divided into Southwest, Central-Western, Southeast. Only produces Arabica. Main export port of Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Espirito Santo: the state with the second largest coffee production; largest Robusta production in Brazil; 70% Robusta and 30% Arabica; Main export ports: Vitoria in the state of Espirito Santo, Salvador de Bahia in the state of Bahia.

São Paulo: the state with the third largest coffee production. Only produces Arabica; Main export port: Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Parana: one of the states with the lowest production (approx. 2%)
