This coffee is grown south of Minas. Vegetation, soil, climate and water are optimal for this farm
to operate as a sustainability managed coff ee plantation.
Process: The warm climate allows natural preparation. The cherries dry in the sun until a residual
moisture content of 12% is left. Due to this natural preparation the coff ee gets a special
fl avour.
The Guaxupé is the biggest private Cooperative in the world and has approximately 14.000
members in Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. Its good networking allows the Cooperative to store
up to 5 million bags for exporting per harvest. Guaxupé recognized early the importance of fi ne
Arabica coff ees and therefore established its own specialty department. Socially, it supports
the farmers fi nancial resources. Through agricultural assistance programs, such as soil analysis
and training, it support production and environmental maintenance.

Minas Gerais: the state with the largest coffee production, divided into Southwest, Central-Western, Southeast. Only produces Arabica. Main export port of Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Espirito Santo: the state with the second largest coffee production; largest Robusta production in Brazil; 70% Robusta and 30% Arabica; Main export ports: Vitoria in the state of Espirito Santo, Salvador de Bahia in the state of Bahia.

São Paulo: the state with the third largest coffee production. Only produces Arabica; Main export port: Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Parana: one of the states with the lowest production (approx. 2%)
