Mariano State was founded in 1909 by Manoel Barbosa Junqueira as a small property located on the São Domingos Mountain. Due its great location, perfect for coffee, Mariano State started to get recognized by its excellent coffee throughout the years.

The knowhow in producing coffee was passed by generation to generation. Today the brothers Henrique and Ricardo Barbosa, sons of Manoel Barbosa Junqueira, run the Farm. They have being doing great progress at Mariano State in terms of Coffee Quality and Sustainability.
Today the farm has more than 20 tanks of water contention, the employees have great quality of life at the Farm’s houses, and their kids have access to the school. Mariano State is in constantly improvement always looking for coffee quality in accordance with the environment and the human rights.

Minas Gerais: the state with the largest coffee production, divided into Southwest, Central-Western, Southeast. Only produces Arabica. Main export port of Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Espirito Santo: the state with the second largest coffee production; largest Robusta production in Brazil; 70% Robusta and 30% Arabica; Main export ports: Vitoria in the state of Espirito Santo, Salvador de Bahia in the state of Bahia.

São Paulo: the state with the third largest coffee production. Only produces Arabica; Main export port: Santos in the state of São Paulo.

Parana: one of the states with the lowest production (approx. 2%)
